Shakira skjuter upp Egypten-konsert?
Enligt Tahrirnews vill Shakira inte besöka Egypten innan konflikterna där har lugnat ner sig. Hennes besök i Israel var det som bekant mycket uppståndelse kring och enligt uppgifterna vill hon inte att detta ska upprepas ännu en gång. På Tahrirnews hemsida står det att konserten nu kommer bli av i mars, men inget exakt datum har bestämts.

Venus X: Shakira always writes and produces her own music. There’s a guy who does A&R at Columbia who’s been watching Ghe20 G0Th1k and they were like, We saw this opening and it might work. [Shakira] wants to make dance music. She’s always been ahead of the curve. With “Ojos Asi,” she was doing Arabic instrumentals with Spanish vocals. I’m putting together a weekly newsletter for her, with music and videos. I’m sending her a lot of hyrbrid-oriented stuff—Turkish reggaaton, a lot of kuduro that sounds like African trance. Hopefully I’ll be able to introduce her to things that are working on the dance floor so she can translate and re-interpret them for universal pop. There’s all this stuff that happens in nightclubs, so far removed from what’s on the radio. There are so many producers working at the intersection between music that they love and music that’s really popular in their communities. We’re all tapping into the electronic subconscious, trying to rethink what music means right now. The result is a total mash-up of all these genres in a totally smart way cause it’s not like somebody thought about it, somebody lived it.I haven’t met Shakira yet—she’s on tour in Mexico. She’s coming into the studio at the end of August and we’ll start working together then, honing in on the music I gave her and deciding what she wants to use. But her whole staff is women. Själv tror jag inte på detta. Jag har svårt att tro på att Shakira var otrogen mot honom. Shak har sagt att hon ofta får inspiration av andra människor och att 90 % av låtarna inte handlar om henne själv. Hon har sjungit om otrohet i andra låtar (Costume makes the clown) men jag tror inte att hon har varit otrogen.
Däremot är jag lite osäker vad gäller misshandeln - eftersom detta rykte har levt kvar bland alla hans flickvänner...

Jennifer Lopez recently told the BBC that she's "on the fence" about returning to 'American Idol' next season. Although many insiders have dismissed it as just a ploy to get a pay hike, 'Idol' execs are already discussing possible replacements should they not be able to entice J.Lo to return.
"Right now the star of 'American Idol' is Steven Tyler," an insider source tells Popeater. "Everyone thought after Simon announced he was leaving that [Lopez] would fill the void. How wrong were they? It's all about Steven, who's already signed on for Season 11."
Jennifer, who currently earns a reported $12 million for her one-year deal with 'Idol' -- a touch below the $35 mil Simon Cowell earned -- needs to ask herself how much her contribution to the show is really worth.
"'Idol' has resurrected her much-stalled music career," one music exec tells me, referring to 'On the Floor,' the singer's first radio hit in a while. "Likewise, 'Idol' didn't fall apart when Simon left and Jennifer has to get some of the credit for that. But let's also remember the show didn't increase in ratings and that is also thanks to J.Lo."
Jennifer told the BBC: "I loved 'Idol,' but I have a lot of other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year ... We're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now!'"
Be careful, Jennifer, I'm being told the names Shania Twain and Shakira are already being mentioned in hopes of bringing in viewers!

Japp, ryktet om den privata konserten i Marocko stämde. Shakira fick 2 miljoner för att uppträda, och anledningen till att hon var i Venedig igår var för att sjunga på ett bröllop.
